Nok is a half Lao, half English foodie based in London. Growing up in the land of Yorkshire puddings, she then moved to London when she started to study Chinese at SOAS. She now sells her homemade chilli oil which is inspired by the flavours of South East Asia and works at a translation company.

Nok sees a strong connection between food and identity, and has recently been exploring her Lao heritage through Lao cooking in the hope of connecting to the culture that she grew up so disconnected from. Having lived in China as a child and later while studying Mandarin, lots of her food is also inspired by China too.
